Book Thread Anonymous 19281

I've been on a reading binge for a few weeks. What have you guys been reading? What is your favourite book?

In the last 3 months I've read:

>Flowers in the Attic

>Lord of the Flies

>War of the Worlds

>Call of the Wild

>120 Days of Sodom

>Stung by Love (collection of poems by Sappho)

>Things We Say in the Dark

… and hoping to read The Lord of the Rings books soon

same here
Been reading Dazai's short 1-2 page works some even less, there's 260+ more left to read, although I'm getting a bit bored of the mundane subjects. I like the subjects actually, how natural they are and how the book reads like someone's thoughts or diary, but I've been reading 3-4 per day past few days

I read Beyond Good and Evil in my late teens. Actually, some of the books I want to read are on your list here, The Odyssey and the Iliad in particular.

Dark academia must have got to us, haha

If you like short stories, might I suggest A Nervous Breakdown by Anton Checkov? I read it some time ago and while it is definitely a short read I'll admit it was actually very pleasant. I didn't actually have much hope for it because I mainly purchased it for €2 hoping to buff out my Amazon cart enough to qualify for free shipping

Beyond Good and Evil isn't even close to Dark Academia. First author that could even be ascribed that title is probably… Nick Land? I don't have the strength to read Fanged Noumena yet though.

I was referring more to those ~owo dark academia book lists uwu~ as they always had works by Nietzche and Plato,

Ah, well, I've never seen such lists. I'm mostly just building context right now as I have to read approximately 62 books to catch up to modern discourse on Philosophy.
