>>254947>comfort snacksI really like cucumbers, carrots and especially tomatoes as snacks.
I also like to snack on sliced fruits (I only eat apples after slicing them, I don't peel them though).
I'm often too lazy to cut fruits and veggies up though, so I just end up snacking on tomatoes all day. They're really good though, can't get enough of them.
>non-freshI sometimes buy canned peaches and such. I've heard that frozen fruits preserve more nutrients than canned ones, but I often don't have the patience to wait until they're unfrozen enough for me to eat…
I've started blending fresh fruits for smoothies though and sometimes put them in the freezer to eat later as a popsicle, it's pretty great in the summer. (I prefer eating water ice in the summer and milk-based ice in the winter)
>non fruit and vegPopcorn is probably my favourite light snack, I like it salty but sweet is ok too.
>sweetGingerbread is the best when it comes to a sugary sweet snack that staves off hunger before dinner imo, I eat that stuff all year, never seems to go bad, always tastes great.
Idk if ice cream counts as a snack, but I eat that a lot as well, it's especially good with warm waffles or pancakes, although I usually don't put that much time into it and just eat the ice cream.
I also like to snack on store-bought cakes like baumkuchen or marble cake with a cup of milk or a mug of hot chocolate. Especially when I can get the hot chocolate made with a coffee machine, with a very creamy kind of whipped milk…
>savouryI've started eating the more fancy, handmade kind of potato chips. A lot of regular potato chips are made of pulverised potato stuff, but I think those that are based on actual sliced potatoes taste really good. They're a lot more expensive as well though…
Puffed rice cakes are also a neat snack, I think they taste a bit like cardboard, but I actually like that about them.
My favourite salty snack is still popcorn though, light, crunchy, cheap, always good.
