Schizoids Anonymous 264880

I’m just curious, was it hard to get a diagnosis? What were your general experiences/how did you get to this point?

Anonymous 264885

I was in therapy and psychiatric care since I was small, and no one ever suggested I was schizoid.
Then I moved and went to a new psychologist, and he diagnosed me after a couple interviews and a paper test.
So, it was "easy," but I have to think he only did it because I already had a history of diagnoses to rule out.
It might be faster if you're already aware of SzPD and don't have to wait for someone else to think of it.

i feel like i may be kind of schizoid but it may just be autism and maybe depression or ptsd
i've been feeling very numb, not very emotionally connected to my girlfriend or my best friend despite knowing them for years. i also get tired of talking to them when i feel like theyre talking too much but then when they talk to me less i miss them and want them to talk to me more. its so unsatisfying. i don't know how long its been like this. i feel like i used to be able to make actual emotional connections and now i just don't? perhaps my emotions are just repressed though, because i do miss them when i dont talk to them for a while which is indicative of some emotional attachment
i also get bouts of talkativeness where i dm someone to make a new friend and then ghost them after a day because i got tired of talking.
