Would you be upset if your bf refused to marry you
Anonymous 300746
I was but I know better now
Anonymous 300751
>>300724yes i would be.
also, image above, always sign a prenup, for god’s sake.
Anonymous 300759
He wants to but both of us are too lazy to actually officially get married and we have no kids
Anonymous 300798
I’m single but no, marriage seems like more trouble than it’s worth. Just for what? Hyper trad people to consider it a “real relationship”?
Anonymous 300806
>>300798Same.
Marriage is a bad deal for women. You get a nice wedding and a shiny ring in exchange for having to prioritise his needs forever.
Anonymous 300807
I'm 29 years old and I've never been in a relationship, never been on a date, and never kissed anyone. I fully intend to keep it that way for the rest of my life. However, if I were to ever be in any kind of romantic or sexual relationship, they would absolutely have to agree that we would never get married or have kids, ever, no matter what. There is absolutely nothing in the world that horrifies and disgusts me more than the thought of getting married (and #2 on the list would be the thought of having kids).

I think it's sus when a man makes it explicit that he doesn't want to marry you
Anonymous 300817
>>300724YES, HE HAS NO RIGHT TO DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT.
Anonymous 300818
>>300798>I’m single but noopinion discarded
Anonymous 300819
>>300809>man makes it explicit that he doesn't want to marry youHe's just being honest and openly manifesting his common sense
Anonymous 300825
>>300806>in exchange for having to prioritise his needs foreveronly if you're stupid, in which case you deserve it
Anonymous 300829
He has to. I can’t lose him. I can’t.
Anonymous 300831
>>300829>He has to. I can’t lose him. I can’t.lol, then you've already lost
Anonymous 300832
>>300829With no-fault divorce laws he can leave whenever he wants. Abolish that and only then will he be yours forever (unless you have an affair or something)
Anonymous 300833
>>300832>Abolish that and only then will he be yours foreverare you dumb, a marriage can formally exist, and he can still be with another woman
Anonymous 300834
>>300833Yes and that's grounds for divorce. Then you take all his shit in court and never let him see the kids again. If he's a good guy he won't risk it.
Divorce needs to be bad again. Divorce nowadays has no consequences.
Anonymous 300836
>>300834>and never let him see the kids againthat sounds like a win, for him
Anonymous 300837
>>300836Not if he's a good moid. Only marry good moids. Only marry a guy who, if he fucks up and cheats on you and you divorce him, the prospect of never seeing the kids again makes him kill himself.
Anonymous 300838
>>300837>the prospect of never seeing the kids again makes him kill himself. He will celebrate and start a new and better family.
Anonymous 300839
>>300838If he's evil he will be do that
If he's good he'll kill himself
My uncle almost killed himself when he got divorced
Anonymous 300840
>>300839>If he's evil he will be do thatbig win for him
>If he's good he'll kill himself big win for him - it's his moral superiority, and you are evil
Anonymous 300841
>>300837>the prospect of never seeing the kids again makes him kill himself>>300839>If he's good he'll kill himself If your kids knew the truth, you'd be the worst person in this story.
Anonymous 300842
>>300841Good thing women lie and everyone believes them because they're too pathetic physically to be rough with and not have everyone jump down your throat
Anonymous 300843
>>300842but that's not true, men know what women are capable of, and women know even better
Anonymous 300849
I told my bf I wouldn't marry him until our future kids are 10+. He was disappointed, but took it pretty well and understands why.
Anonymous 300866
>>300853I have to protect my family's business and land when I inherit it, and I want to pass it down to my kids. If we end up falling out of love or breaking up over something else, I can't let it get to a divorce court and take the chance I'll lose some part of it which might end up being sold to strangers or falling into the hands of any other kids he might want to have.
Anonymous 300875
>>300867Because my country's law regarding prenups were re-written to protect trusting women from being left nothing by divorce, so unfair or drastically lopsided distribution of assets can have it thrown out in court, regardless of sex. There's also the issue that if I die or am incapacitated during proceedings (unlikely, but fatalities from my work are pretty high) he could legally demand negotiation and take advantage of my elderly parents. Without marriage, using clearly defined accounting, he'll still be able to claim shared assets, but that's like 5% of my total assets, compared to the 30%+ he could claim or negotiate around a prenup.
