Have you ever built a PC?

Anonymous 307085

Yes, its my job

Anonymous 307092

Yes, but only air-cooled.

Anonymous 307097

Yes, that's me on the left ooops

Anonymous 307107

Saving up to do it soon. Not even super sure there's any AAA games worth playing coming any time soon but I also wanna try VR and maybe Cyberpunk.

Anonymous 307111

Yes I built most of the PCs I have owned. I love the one I'm currently using.

Same, the idea of liquids next to expensive parts makes me too nervous despite what anyone says.

Anonymous 307113

>>307076
yeah, i mostly just buy parts, its cheaper and i like the building aspect

Honestly you could save yourself a lot of money if you dont wanna play anything current by getting yourself a 1080TI super. Save yourself like $2k right there. Stay on DDR4 ram. Save money on ram and Mobo that way. Just get yourself a HDD and an SSD and call it a day.

>Yes, but only air-cooled.

You don't need anything more than a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO

Anonymous 307125

>>307124
Yeah, liquid cooling is for people who treat building PCs as their hobby. There's absolutely no need for it if you're not doing useless stuff like overclocking for meager performance increases.

>>307124
all you need is the stock AMD cooler

Anonymous 307128

>>307127
I tried using mine, and it made my PC so hot you could burn your hand on it. Although I'm also using one of those smaller Node cubes as my case and the air circulation is not as great as it would be in a large one. Then I got the biggest cooler I could fit inside and had no issues ever since.

Which is better, AMD or Intel?

Anonymous 307145

download (11).jpg

No because I'm retarded

Anonymous 307162

>>307139
Currently AMD by a long shot, Intel really dropped the ball.

Anonymous 307205

Yeah, though it's a lot easier these days than when I started doing it.

Anonymous 307226

What's the difference between 9950X and 9950X3D

Anonymous 307227

>>307226
