why am i still sad when my life is so much better than it was a few years ago? Anonymous 133321

i feel super cringe writing this cause my life isn't even that bad anymore, but i'm still super sad for seemingly no reason
i feel really stupid whenever i miss classes or break down about going outside or don't clean my room or do work until it's too much to do…
i've been getting therapy and trying essentially every medication for anxiety and depression since freshman year. which on its own shows my life is pretty good since my dad got me medical help…
but i really can't figure out why i'm still so sad? my life is okay. i still live with my dad (i'm in uni) and he doesn't expect me to get a job yet or anything. he just wants me to get good grades, keep my room clean, take my meds, and feed the cats. but even that's so hard for me. it makes me feel like i'll never be a functional adult cause i can't even do simple tasks. i don't have any hobbies either. i used to draw and play instruments and sing but i never liked doing that. i don't even play video games or watch anime anymore, so all of the games and anime i like were made before 2022.
i wonder if i'm a spoiled brat or something. i guess i had a difficult childhood, but my dad got custody of me when i was in seventh grade, so it makes no sense why im not fine now ???
sorry for stupid rambling, i kinda just wanted somewhere to let this stuff out.

sounds similar to me. having a "good life" didn't help.

have you tried psychedelics like mushrooms? they really helped me break through some heavy depression. dont buy the fake gas station gummy kind either, grow the real thing (assuming it is legal in your state)
