Holy serums? Anonymous 21849
I tried tretinoin for a while but it just made my face burn and feel rough no matter how light and spaced out I went with it. Recently got into azelaic acid instead and it's been managing my break outs way better as well as keeping my skin calm. I still dab my breakouts with tret and slap a zit sticker over it after it's dried but I'm using it considerably less. What's been your savior?

after using tretinoin, doing the 10 step korean skincare trend, and trying sooo many skincare routines the thing that has worked best for my skin is vanicream. It’s super basic and doesn’t break out my oily skin. i highly recommend it!

also nona, be careful with putting pimple patches and other occlusive layers on top of active ingredients like tretinoin! it can burn your skin or over exfoliate it. best of luck on your skincare journey :3

>>21864Vanicream made my skin burn, I don't understand why at all and my derm was also perplexed. Its the equivalent to thinking ketchup is spicy but with my skin. Crazy.

>>21866Oh no, that sucks. Have you ever tried colloidal oatmeal, nona? Might work for your uber sensitive skin. I know there’s some creams and serums that use it as an ingredient. Best of luck.
