>Who is your favorite country? >What do you ship?No matter how much time passes, there will always be a special place in my heart for Chibitalia and HRE. Unsurprisingly I also love Germany and Italy, both as characters and as a ship.
>How long have you been into Hetalia? Did you used to follow it and dropped it at some point? I discovered it in late 2009 and was a big fan until a year later or so, but I gradually lost interest as I got into other things. I almost started hating it as I witnessed from the outside the shitshow that was the fandom at its worst, but I never really cared for it again, until the season 7 announcment.
>Are you going to check out the new material?Yes, I just finished catching up with stuff that came out while I wasn't looking and oh God how much I have missed my boys.
>Best/worst memories from the old Hetalia fandom days? This may be nostalgia speaking, but I only have good memories. Watching HetaOni and niconico PMVs for hours on end, reading pages and pages of fanfiction, listening to the songs/fansongs, drawing the mochis on my notes to make history class more fun. Just take me back please.
To make up for my lack of bad memories about the fandom, here's some Hetalia stuff I don't like: I remember absolutely HATING the Paint it White movie, in my opinion it only shows the anime doesn't really work as anything more than short, self contained gags. I feel like Italy is the only one who's not out of character for the entire runtime of the movie, and reusing old footage to get feature-lenght was kinda pathetic.
I also disliked the Nyo episode, I don't get why half of the already short screentime they got was wasted on a literal slideshow instead of showing them interacting.
