Civilization and 4x games Anonymous 37609

I love Civ 5 so much.
Amazing visuals, extremely comfy music.
It's not the best mechanics-wise but the devs basically released all the tools needed for modders to fix it.

I liked civ2 more.
Yes, it was the only game I had for an entire year, how do you know?

I didn't play civ 2 so I don't know what it's like, (would love to hear about it though!) but there's some features I liked in civ 4 a lot.
The government system is kind of cool and there's more interesting resolutions in the World Congress. Also having to consider if you want productivity or happiness in your cities. (cause factories cause pollution and all) It's quite different from 5 and 6 but in a cool way. Don't like the stacks of doom though.

What we think about civ 7. Everyone's chimping about the gameplay, I watched gameplay of it and it is strange. It strays from the usual selection system.
I've exhausted my fun out of civ 6 so I will try civ 5, you influenced me nona now I will have to put a halt on being a functional human being.

I honestly liked the changing civs gimmick, but I guess it'd be better off as an option in a campaign and not central to the entire game. It'd be even better if they gave you the option to change leaders instead imo cause that just makes sense.
I kinda like how they added Machiavelli.

I recommend the Vox Populi mod for civ 5. The original civ 5 is barebones and the expansions slightly improve it, but Vox Populi adds:
1) vassalage
2) monopolies
3) smarter ai that you can't just bribe to wage war on anyone you don't like
4) important: better unit upgrades cause the original ones suck
5) improved culture trees. made warring even more fun than it was. the original made tradition too good
6) improved civ abilities
I think that's about it
