Awful otome feminist Anonymous 37835

I'm the worst radical feminist and I like a lot of problematic things, anime, for example. I'm watching My Dress Up Darling and I'm loving it, but I know there are a lot of really reprehensible things in it. On the other hand, almost all media has something problematic, so I keep thinking I'm "lost in the sauce" and should stop worrying about it.

Anonymous 37836

I think there's more to most media than whatever makes it problematic.

That's dumb. Reprehensible things in it lol

If you hate something but you still indulge in it, you are an enabler and a sell out. This sounds like a drug addict complaining about how drugs are bad but justifying themselves by saying that everyone does drugs.

Anonymous 37841

Also My Dress Up Darling is a blight upon human existence.

But I'm not complaining, I fucking love this kind of shit and I just venting about I still like this kind of web stuff.

Saw the last episode available on Crunchyroll that shows Marin-chan being called out for gaining weight. Wtf. Thinking about how fucking fat I am

Anonymous 37843

enjoy what you want to enjoy, nona.

I'm glad you can at least enjoy it. Sexism makes me seethe a bit and I can't watch that kind of stuff without rolling my eyes. I've become bitter.

>>37840
Holy shit nvm someone here is more bitter than me

Her job is a model and she's in Japan, no? I took it more as Japan's stricter beauty standards than sexism. I suppose it still is sexist now that i think about it.

Tbh, I really like Marin. FINALLY a pretty character that isnt dumb or vapid or nasty. She's kind, she's a nerd and she's popular because she's so genuine with everyone and with herself. There's so much more to her than tits and fanservice.

If any radfem nonas think My Dress Up Darling is bad, I challenge them to watch Rosario + Vampire or Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid. That shit would give you a seizure.

rosario vampire is actually great thou, the characters are fun and the female characters have personalities.
I just don't see anything in Marin, she is basically made for today's tiktok gen z girls to relate to. It's not an interesting character but that's the point of an otome I guess.

I don't have the courage to explore the world of anime too much, as I know it's a complicated culture, to say the least. I really like Marin because she has a good sense of humor and how she is in love with gojo kun. In my heart, they are already bf and gf, but since it's an anime, he will only confess his feelings for her in the last season

It's not that I hate either of those shows either. I just threw those out as examples of extreme fanservice.

Rosario vampire was interesting, but literally every tense moment in the plot is undercut by panty shots. Not even subtle ones either. It was actually pretty funny.
