Same. Steven is a completely obnoxious and annoying character. Not to mention the fandom apparently has all kinds of groomers in it. At the end of the day I'm not sure why I even watched the series. I didn't look at the epilogues

Steven Universe Future really sucked. Steven's an asshole for most of it but later they say it's because he's struggling with trauma, ok fair, trauma can make people (especially teens) lash out. But it gets bad when Steven starts getting violent and there's like 4 episodes where he tries to kill people (there's one episode where he actually does kill Jasper but they retcon it later and act like this was the right thing to do for her even though she's clearly badly impacted by it). The show peaked in Season 2 because after that they tried making the story 2Deep4U and it really went downhill, it was better when it was a simple story about Steven and his family going on magic quests

I think there are moments where the show is good (usually the parts without steven lol) and i like some of the character designs. i also like how the gems are all women. but ditto on the fans and MC

I enjoyed the show but haven't seen it since it was airing. Disliked the ending of the main series, and Future felt a bit pointless and made Steven worse. The movie was great though.

I always felt like the original show failed to answer some of the questions it presented, and instead of using future to answer them they just… didn't.

The idea of exploring a character's PTSD after all the conflict is over was interesting but honestly shows had done it before and did it better (Korra comes to mind for example). I also wish people would stop claiming other shows like The Owl House were SU inspired just because it featured the characters going through and trying to recover from traumatic events, they're written basically nothing alike otherwise. It also doesn't help that like half the epilogue season got wasted on filler and we didn't even get to see any recovery happen for "privacy" because the crew thinks their OCs are real. A whole season having the lesson of "men's mental health matters" is retarded anyways

I loved that show as a kid, never ended up finishing though because it got boring in the later seasons. Is it worth revisiting?
