Because it used to still mainly catered only to the group in its name, "shonen". I feel like it's kind of a meaningless term now.
Also, I find it very funny how the most highest rated and respected shonen anime of all time was authored by a woman. Very understandable, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a genuine masterpiece. The shonen that (unfortunately!) made anime mainstream, Demon Slayer, was also authored by a woman.

Also I liked mob psycho too. I think the characters and the humor were pretty good, the shonen fights not as much though.

The drop in quality for naruto really needs to be studied. It was never amazing but it could actually keep you engaged before the timeskip. After the timeskip it's genuinely hard to give a fuck about anything going on. What a tragedy

Fuck it I'm not done trashing shows. Fairy tail is really just trash. I can't believe my friend convinced me to watch like 100 episodes of that slop holy hell it fucking sucks on every level imaginable. And you know what I don't know if this counts but while we're at it, legend of korra sucks too. Korra is such an unimaginably boring character she single handedly brought down the show despite other characters being charming and well written. Go fuck yourself korra you stupid bitch
