A thread for youtubers you genuinely enjoy and watch on a regular basis.

I started getting into YT in 2012 for hair dye tutorials, which grew into watching Lolita and other weeb channels, then I got into jvloggers and now I even watch normie lifestyle channels. I'll share a bunch of faves.

Normie lifestyle/fashion/beauty:
>Krist Yu https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4SV3mvnHRNJJqv5abvZzfg
>Karen Yeung https://www.youtube.com/user/iamkareno
>Jenn Im https://www.youtube.com/user/clothesencounters

>Filthy Frank https://www.youtube.com/user/TVFilthyFrank
>Idubz https://www.youtube.com/user/iDubbbzTV
>Red Letter Media https://www.youtube.com/user/RedLetterMedia

I don't think it's worth posting the list of weeaboo channels I follow seeing as I'm subscribed to everyone in the jfashion community and every jvlogger I know of. I like to keep tabs on the ~kawaii~ and ~sugoi~ parts of yt.

Looking for suggestions for all different categories!

Trisha_Paytas_Rosa…

this is weird, but ive always loved trisha paytas. there's something about her that's so charming and unusual. idk.

i also like philip defranco, willam belli and YMS

Anonymous 489

The best yt makeup artist imo is Wayne Goss. Hands down. If you don't know him, you probably should!

Anonymous 491

>>489
I enjoy him as well. My favorite video was when he exposed all the beauty vloggers for using video filters lmao. It completely changed how I viewed people like Jaclyn Hill, Nikkitutorials etc.

Fashion/Makeup:
>Jenn Im
>HeyClaire
>Princessmei
>Tati Westbrook
>Lisa Elridge
>Jackie Aina
>GlamourDaze
>PONYmakeup (although i don't like how she's going more to the instahoe look, her looks were so cute before, but i skip most of her videos now)

Vidya:
>Cryaotic
>SovietWomble
>TheSw1tcher
>VideogameDunkey

Some non official channels to find varied music and artists:
>La Belle Musique
>SuicideSheeep
>Dandelion's Music
>Majestic Casual
>WE LOVE KPOP
>ArtzieMusic

This and that:
>Auronplay
>Solfa
>Blogilates
>Dan Bell
>1Million dance studio
>Jacksfilms (although i feel his channel is going a little too meme-y for my taste, and the fact that 90% of his video time is an ad kinda rubs me the wrong way)

I've actually never watched any of Trish's content beyond her meltdown videos because those are the only ones that ever pop up on my feed. Is she always so… emotionally sloppy?

Anonymous 737

I really love easyNeon. She's a 24 yr old Moldavian living in the UK. She used to be a fatty, lost a load of weight, got super good at makeup, and now posts great tutorials and lifestyle vlogs on Youtube.

Anonymous 741

>>737
I love her videos, even though they don't work for me. She's really gorgeous. <3

The only two I can add to the list are:
>Stella Cini
-I like her hair tutorials (despite her using wigs in most of her videos, which always bums me a bit out when youtubers do it) and she has a few alright makeup tutorials

>Stephanie Lange

-she has some good makeup tips since she's a makeup artist, I just wish she'd stop exaggerating her "do's and don'ts" videos

>your movie sucks
I used to watch YMS religiously until that shit with him trying to advocate for the legalisation of bestiality on his stream went down. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that an active furry was trying to make excuses as to why he should be allowed to jam his dick into a dog, but what made me sick was that his entire reasoning revolved around similar reasons paedophiles regularly give as to why they should be allowed to fuck little kids. Now I can't even hear his voice without internally heaving.

Anonymous 747

>>743
dang thats a bit shit, i really liked him too i watched a few of his gaming videos and he was saying stuff like 'i want to be friends with everyone/liked by everyone' after the whole cool cat fair use thing and i felt bad for him.
he really should have kept his dog-fucking to himself.
idk what to do now he was one of my fave youtubers :^(

Anonymous 748

>>743
Fucking hell, that's really disgusting. I just know of his YMS videos and I didn't think he was that bad of a degenerate furfag.

Anonymous 749

>>747
Well I mean you can continue watching him if you enjoy his content. There's that saying isn't there, that you ought to be able to separate the 'art' from the 'artist'? I personally can't support him any longer though knowing that what he's effectively endorsing is animal rape.

>>748
The video is actually 10x worse because he didn't get a chance to rehearse his thoughts before he communicated them the way he did on Reddit.
I remember when I first watched the video, being a vegan, I was actually totally on board with what he was saying, and then half way through it devolves into this mess of him trying to justify wanting to become Mr. Hands 2.0.

>"Do I believe that having sex with animals is wrong? Part of the farming process is artificial insemination, so by supporting farms and the meat and dairy industry you’re already supporting rape of animals. Like, literal rape".

Which is a total fucking paradox. Bestiality is illegal specifically because we define sexual relations with animals somewhere inline with rape due to the fact that animals possess lesser intellectual and cognitive ability on par with adult humans, and as such could be legally equated to as minors. So he claims that sex with animals should be made legal due a proposed ability to give informed consent, whilst also arguing that the animal is incapable of comprehending the act of sex, whilst ALSO acknowledging that animals within the agricultural industry are capable of being raped.
It's like fucking Schrodinger’s Bestiality, where the animals are being simultaneously raped and enjoying consensual sex. Which is it Adam?

Anonymous 750

There's a YouTuber called HBomberGuy who got pulled up for writing rape fiction for his GCSE coursework.

But honestly, if they're British and make YT vids they're basically confirmed for being a sexual predator of some variety.

Anonymous 753

>>750
yikes. and i really liked the analysis he did on fallout 3, too. do you know anymore details?

i'm not subscribed to many people, so i'm just gonna list off who i have on my channel list.
>brutalmoose (retro game reviews + nostalgia)
>chrissstttiiine (fashion, beauty + vlogs)
>cooking with dog (comfy japanese cooking channel with cute obaachan host)
>glossier (beauty, caters to a more natural look)
>harry partridge (animations, doesn't really upload that frequently)
>hot for food (vegan cooking)
>into the gloss (beauty)
>lauren toyota (owner of hot for food, this is her vlog channel)
>lazy game reviews (reviews of old tech + games)
>life where i'm from (really cute channel, canadian dad and his haffu kids mostly talking about life in japan)
>little thunder (traditional artist who specializes in ink drawings, follow her on instagram her work is pretty cool)
>redlettermedia (chuckle fucks who review movies)
>stampertv (chuckle fuck who makes animations and other random shit, friends with oneyng and psychicpebbles)
>super eyepatch wolf (comfy anime reviewer with a nice voice)
>thebrainscoop (neat if you're into zoology, lots of dissecting videos, so be warned if you're squeamish)
>thesw1tcher (chuckle fucks who play videogames poorly)

I watch a lot of youtubers (a lot have been mentioned already) but all I wanna know if someone else watches Ross' Game Dungeon. I fucking love it. He goes into really, really obscure games from the 90's and even go the lenghts to contact the developers and the like when needed. He goes into really weird shit. Even some games that I played as a kid and thought I dreamed of lol

I love it.

Idk if this has been addressed somewhere else on cc but what do you guys think about the Paul guy with the dead body drama? His reaction was horrifying and he seemed to make fun of it… Also his apology was freaking ridiculous. I'm a bit late, I know, but I just found out about it today.

What I'd like to know is how many people genuinely care because it was a blatant disrespect to the victim's family or do they only care because they're weebs who want approval from mainlanders?

lol, I was watching a podcast the other day from Jenna Marbles, and she was saying that Logan Paul was more nice than Jake Paul, think it was a year or so ago.

Anonymous 2010

I feel the same about vinesauce.
Normally, I hate let's players because majority aren't funny at all and tend to suck at improv. So they just go for nothing but lowest denominator on-the-fly rape/sexism/ect jokes that aren't even funny in a cross the line twice way.
Joel, who is one of the vinesauce players is hilarious. His jokes are just based on his insane life and laughing at stupid things in general. No misdirected screeching edge jokes and he's a proliferator of many memes.
His Sims videos made me laugh the hardest I have in years.
When it also comes to let's players, I really love Chuggaconroy who is an LPer who perhaps has more younger fans but not in a pathetic way. He just seems like a sweet, kind if not a bit eccentric guy who really enjoys the games he plays and his voice is relaxing to listen to and to play in the background or watch him play games.

Lots of people are definitely jumping on the bandwagon (YouTubers) but I've seen a couple non weebs IRL who seemed horrified. And it was, he seemed to be enjoying the situation and faking being sad.

Anonymous 2012

>>2000
I watched the video and was genuinely angered due to the amount of disrespect he showed and just overall disgusted with how far he went with the situation, by continuously filming, filming up close, making a scene as he left the forest, using the body in his thumbnail, etc. I would've been disgusted and felt the same emotions no matter what country he was in, it was extremely disrespectful and just plain stupid.
It was really hard to watch and I was in disbelief the whole time.

didnt think someone would reply to my post 5 months later lol
if possible to update i dont watch h3h3 anymore i think they are garbage and one commenter put it really well 'they have become the people they used to mock' it is always sad when an underdog becomes mega popular to the point it goes to their head, a lot of people view them as moral kings of youtube deciding what is passable content and what isn't.

i am slowly avoiding shane dawson more and more after his disgusting habits (pissing in bottles, mugs, sinks out of laziness) has come out and also his gross piss fetish, i seriously felt like vomiting.

i dont really watch rebeltaxi much or any real media reviewer much anymore, and can i say what the fuck is up with everyone and their grandma running a fucking podcast on youtube? its fucking annoying

IHE videos are a bit of a hit and miss its mostly a movie review channel since everyone now wants to talk about why they think a movie is shit

most of my list i dont check often anymore, maybe once every 2 months
new list:

>videogames

vinesauce (i go through periods where i watch constantly then leave it alone for 3 months)
avgn (checked every once in a while)

>'beauty'

Simply Nailogical (funny as hell and not a shithead dropout youtuber, encourages her young fans to pursue education, realistic about her future on youtube)
Jenna Marbles (once majorly popular around 2012 now somewhat less but recently binged her 'beauty' videos funny dumb humour, another educated youtuber, not crazy about her bf but its not too bad)
Safiya Nygaard (make experimental videos trying new clothes and makeup, her decades fashion videos she does great research into the trends of that time, i also like her clear manner of speaking)

>other

Captain Disillusion (high production videos where he debunks popular hoaxes and has great humour wish he uploaded more often)
A Dose of Buckley - still check each week

>youtubers i fucking hate

h3h3- reasons above

idubbz- tried to watch a vid he pissed on his table disgusting and unsanitary, shit jokes want to vomit

filthy frank- bizarre over the top acting i just dont understand, nothing particularly clever just fucking irritating

game grumps- was watcher from beginning due to admiration of egoraptor as an artist, stopped watching not long after danny came in, just added too many fucking people i dont care about and is a company now that shits out gaming videos at a fast rate with least amount of work needed

maxmoefoe- this guy is just fucking annoying and unfunny

probably more but cant think of any at the moment

Does anyone experience the effect where you like a YouTuber and subscribe to them, then as time wears on, you start to resent them for stupid shit like their perceived tone or whatever? I feel like it's all in my head. It makes me feel gross about myself as a person. Familiarity breeds contempt, I guess. Most of the people I'm still subscribed to I'm only subscribed to so I can think ill of them from afar (I don't post any comments or whatever).

I'm a huge nerd and I really enjoy Pikasprey's videos. He makes gaming related vids but in a really genuine seeming way. I stopped watching videos about video games for ages prior to discovering him because I was sick of youtubers trying to pander to 13 year olds or cash in on the algorithm all the time.

I used to follow a lot of goth/alt youtubers but i've gone sour on all of them aside from angela benedict and even then i barely watch her.

Karolina Żebrowska is a vintage fashion goddess and also has an amazing personality as well. So happy to see her mentioned in this threads

I never miss an upload from Overly Sarcastic (history/literature animation channel) or Steph0sims (sims 4 content, but makes it actually funny). I know how CC feels about trannies and overaly leftist ideology, but ContraPoints is pretty neat as well and I recommend watching one of her videos fully at least once for the set design alone.

Anonymous 4589

>>4588
>ContraPoints is pretty neat

No, get out and stay out. I'm not even against leftists (pretty left myself) but ContraPoints is an absolute joke.

Anonymous 4840

Suzanne Kobela, video related, I love her art style so much and I think she is very talented. Her works have a kind of creepy, dark surrealistic feeling to them, and i personally love it.

As for others, I also like Karolina Żebrowska, her videos are very nice and informative about vintage fashion and things like that, another similar youtuber I like is Rachel Maksy, she has such a pleasant personality and she does vintage fashion/makeup too. Viv Hairtherapy, shes also has a very kind bubbly personality too, she infects you with happiness when you watch her. And also Wineboxpapi, i really like his videos about all those crappy tlc reality shows lmao.

Anonymous 4941

To mention a youtuber that hasn't been mentioned yet, I really like Call Me Kevin. He seems like a big sweetheart and his videos actually made me cry from laughter more than once which I can't say about any other youtube personality. He mostly does video games but he has a few joke cooking videos. I really like his EA Harry Potter games and sims stuff. Some other unmentioned youtubers I've been watching since forever are Lindsay Ellis and Todd In The Shadows.
I generally dislike vloggers/lifestyle/makeup/beauty youtubers and anything dealing with daily lives of others besides like Jenna because I've been watching her on and off ever since she made her channel. Vlogs just seem really boring to me, idk why. I'm always searching for good video essayists and I tend to listen to podcasts or random history lesson if I have troubles falling asleep.
I also tend to care more about what the topic is than who it's coming from even if I don't necessarily agree with the youtuber.

>>4589
Not that anon but I barely agree with anything cp says and her last video in particular kind of infuriated me but I watch some of her stuff here and there, mostly because I get into interesting convos with others about it and I appreciate the production quality.

>>2025
I agree with you about h3h3 (honestly filthyfrank too) but I kind of started paying attention to them since Hila got pregnant since I feel happy for them. Ethan is def a dick and a hypocrite though, and their podcasts are really meh.

Anonymous 4943

I like Lindsay Ellis too. I know that the meta of her approach is just to use Disney as a recognizable example of how the audience themselves should be looking at films more broadly (i.e. that you should be thinking similarly critical of all the other things you watch) - but I'd really like it if she expanded into other films. I liked her videos on The Hobbit and when she broke down Transformers and stuff. Hope she does more than just Disney in the future.

Did anyone else use to watch Webkinz and Littlest Pet Shop videos when they were really young? I also enjoyed watching those videos were people would trade “kawaii” items with others.

Then I started watching YouTubers like Our2ndLife, Bethany Mota, jennxpenn, iisuperwomanii, Troye Sivan, Zoella, Andrew Lowe, Joey Graceffa, Strawburry17, and more. I can’t believe I wasted so much time watching those people, lol.

When I started junior high, I got into PewDiePie and Marzia, The Cancer Crew, and h3h3productions.

While I was in high school, Joji quit Filthy Frank, I lost interest in Pewds and h3h3, so I only had Marzia, iDubbbz, and Max to watch. Then I started getting into Shane Dawson and his spooky boys videos and penguinz0. Now Shane’s mainly making documentaries which sucks, Marzia quit YouTube, and I grew out of iDubbbz, Max, and penguinz0.

Now I don’t watch many YouTubers. I only watch:

Casually comics is hands down the best comic book channel on youtube. She’s actually very chill and not inflammatory, she knows how to cover inflammatory topics in a very level headed way.

Rogue Internet Man. He does cow streams mostly but also deep dives into other unusual things from around the web. He recently came back after deleting everything due to being doxxed by an woman who rapes dogs but it's nice to see he picked himself up and started making videos again

I've liked everything I've seen so far from a channel named Cardinal West. It's mostly serious business video essays about talking animal fiction so I assumed he was a furry, but I'm not sure anymore. Embedding what I think is his best work (warning: 2 hours of a grown man talking about cartoons).

I still watch old Webkinz videos. There’s a girl who is doing a fan reboot of the webkinz movie, her YouTube channel I think is called DaliDog.
