Did the word "grooming" gain so much popularity in recent years because everyone who still uses the word "seduction" acts like it's a consensual thing?

Feels like feminists decided to just discard the word "seduction" instead of pointing out that it's rape (or rape play) 95% of the time, and it removed an important concept from our vocabulary. Reading older stories, there are times where characters will talk about a child being seduced by an adult and make it clear that they see it as fucked up. It's not like the concept was always used for romanticized Casanova shit.

Especially thinking about this after hearing a woman say she was groomed by someone as an adult. It's like yeah, he was using the exact same tactics people use on children, but you were 23… but saying "I was seduced" in this day & age just wouldn't properly communicate the violation of your own will, even if that's by definition what seduction is all about.

With grooming the original meaning was that the adult molds the child to suit their needs and it doesn’t even necessarily involve literal seduction. If you say you were groomed as an adult you sound retarded tbh.
