I'm not sure how to word better the subject, but here's the thing:
I'm very into petplay, but only the costume part, not (most of) the roleplay itself. I find the gear super cute, I love being collared, getting pet-named by my gf and the general possessiveness and soft power imbalance of that kink. But the roleplay itself (walking on all fours, only meowing instead of talking, eating from bowls etc) is the most massive turn-off to me, it looks completely stupid and not the hot kind of degrading; I don't get how others find it hot.
Anyone else is like this? Do you only like the costume (or roleplay) aspect of certain kinks?
It's not keeping me awake at night and both me and my girlfriend enjoy it whenever we do it, I'm just curious.
